10 GENTLE REMINDERS FOR ALL MOMS

Being a mom is hard. It’s an around-the-clock job with very little appreciation. You are constantly giving of yourself and it can be easy to get lost in the shuffle. Here are 10 gentle reminders for all moms to help you remember that you are doing a great job, even on your tough days.

1. You are enough. Just as you are. You don’t have to be perfect to be a good mom. In fact, there is no such thing as a perfect mom. So cut yourself some slack and give yourself a break.

2. It’s okay to ask for help. Asking for help does not make you weak or inadequate. It just means that you recognize that you cannot do it all by yourself and that’s okay! Reach out to your friends and family when you need a helping hand and don’t be afraid to ask for help from your partner too.

3. Take some time for yourself. When was the last time you did something just for yourself? carving out some time for yourself is essential for maintaining your sanity as a mom. Whether it’s taking a long bath, going for a walk, or reading your favorite book, make sure to schedule some “me” time into your week.

4. Your house does not have to be perfect. We all know that the motto “cleanliness is next to godliness” is total BS. A messy house does not make you a bad mom! Let the dishes pile up in the sink and the toys stay on the floor; your kids will still love you just as much (maybe even more!).

5. Don’t compare yourself to other moms. Every mom is different and every family is different too. What works for one mom might not work for another, so stop comparing yourself to other moms and focus on what works best for you and your family instead.

6. Trust your gut instinct. Mothers have a built-in radar system (aka their gut instinct) that tells them when something is wrong with their child. So if something feels off, trust your gut and take action accordingly.

7 . Prioritize sleep. Getting enough sleep can be challenging, especially when you have young kids at home, but it’s so important! Try to get as much sleep as you can, when you can.

8 . You are not alone. Being a mom can feel isolating at times but know that there are millions of other moms out there who feel exactly the same way as you do. There is an entire community of mothers here to support and lift each other up, so reach out when you need help or just someone to talk to.

9 . Give Yourself Some Grace. Just because you’re a mother doesn’t mean that you’re perfect. We all make mistakes, so cut yourself some slack every once in a while, would ya?

10 . Take A Deep Breath And Remember – You’ve Got This! When things get tough, just close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Then remind yourself that YOU ARE A MOTHER and that means that no matter what life throws your way, YOU CAN HANDLE IT!

Becoming a mother is one of the most amazing things that will ever happen to you but it’s also one of the hardest. It’s important to remember that YOU ARE DOING A GREAT JOB even on your tough days. These 10 gentle reminders will help keep things in perspective next time you feel overwhelmed.

Remember – YOU’VE GOT THIS, MOM!
